LOS ANGELES

Driveways tumble down
Toward streets
Like mountain streams,
And cars,
Like sticks in the current,
Are drawn nose first
Downstream.
The river roads slide along
Past fields and forest,
Farms and towns-
They swell,
They overflow,
Expanding and adding lanes.
Cruisers bask on their banks
Like hungry crocs.
Every freeway a watershed.
Every road a tributary.
And like so much sediment
From upstream
The traffic flows out
Into Los Angeles.

CARDBOARD MINISTRY #1

Cardboard Castle for Kingdom of Light Summer Day Camp (Lulu AC Church- Lulu, FL, 2016)

Buying swords and armor at the Blacksmith shop.

 Some of the ladies.

Boxes obtained from Lowes Receiving Department in Lake City, FL over the span of several months.
Super servant, Roy Morrison, making private rooms in the castle for each child.

Carriage rides.
This large cardboard castle was constructed for a summer day camp at Lulu AC Church in 2016. Above are some of the stores in the market (blacksmith shop, toy shop, candy and pets)
A separate castle was built in the sanctuary for puppet skits.
Every child that attended had their own room in the castle, with their name on the door- "Sir _____" or "Lady _______."
Painted refrigerator boxes and cardboard panels.
The entrance to the castle located in the church's fellowship hall.
Children could write each other notes which were delivered daily.
The feasting hall. (Please note the paper mache pig at the center of the table, which was made by my friend, Roy.)

 Shops.
